CBVA Level #1 Bear Viewing Guide Requirements

Welcome back! In the previous lesson, you were introduced to the Commercial Bear Viewing Association.. Now, let’s discuss the specific requirements to achieve your Level #1 Bear Viewing Guide certification.

To achieve your Level #1 Bear Viewing Guide certification, you must:

• Complete the Bear Awareness and Safety theory coursework and quizzes via scheduled Zoom sessions.
• Achieve 80% on the Bear Awareness and Safety Knowledge quiz.
• Attend one of  the Level #1 Bear Viewing Best Practices theory live sessions via Zoom. (Register for one theory session offered in January, February, March and April each year.)
• Participate in the compulsory one-day in-person field session, usually held in May in the Campbell River area.
